Airtime, data and bills: what's free and what's not
A clear breakdown of what Aurra charges for top-ups and bill payments. Spoiler: airtime carries no fee.
Nobody likes a surprise charge on a ₦500 top-up. Here is exactly what things cost on Aurra, so you know before you tap.
Airtime: face value, no fee
Airtime costs exactly face value on every network: MTN, Airtel, Glo and 9mobile. Any amount, any number, with nothing added on top. Buying for someone else is the same deal: pick their network, enter their number, done.
Data has no separate fee either. The plan price you see before confirming already includes a small markup, so what you are shown is what you pay. Nothing is added at the last step.
Cable TV: ₦100
DStv, GOtv and Startimes renewals cost a flat ₦100 per payment. You choose the provider and package in the flow, enter your smartcard or IUC number, review the amount plus fee, and confirm with your PIN.
Electricity: ₦50
Prepaid and postpaid meter top-ups cost a flat ₦50. The token lands in the same chat as your receipt.
Rent, school fees and the rest
Bill payments beyond cable and electricity follow the same pattern: enter the details, review the total, confirm. The fee is always displayed on the review screen before your PIN is requested.
Want the full fee list, including transfers? See the pricing page, where every number is calculated from the same code the product runs on.
